In a recent horrific incident, a man killed his mother-in-law and inserted bamboo in her private part in Mumbai’s Vile Parle.
Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was accorded by the Vile Parle police withinside the case. The accused son-in-law has been remanded to police custody until September 14.
Why was she killed?
The mother-in-law refused to provide information about her daughter to the accused.
The man requested his spouse to leave her current husband. However, the day after he went to meet her, she had left the place. He attempted to discover her whereabouts from his mother-in-law who refused to provide him any details.
The accused man ended up assaulting his mother-in-law and stabbed her many times. Police arrested him a day later from Pune.
Statement by the Mumbai Police
According to the Mumbai police, “After assaulting her on the head with tiles and stabbing her with a knife, the accused inserted a bamboo in her private part and pulled out an internal organ. We added Section 377(unnatural offences) of the IPC six days ago,” as outlined by The Indian Express.
The incident came about in Vile Parle (East) in which the woman used to stay along with her daughter.
Previous arrests
The accused was locked up due to chain-snatching previously. The accused, who had already been jailed in a chain-snatching incident for 3 years, was released on September 1. After being released from jail, the accused went to his spouse and came to know that she had already married another person and was also pregnant with his child.
