Under the Leadership of Manash Barooah, 9 members of the Assam Mountaineering Association climbed Jogin-III as a part of the Pre Everest Expedition sponsored by the Government of Assam.
The team consisting of 9 members tracks down their journey
On August 15, the team made their starting point from Gangotri. Near the famous and picturesque glacial lake, Kedarta, a base camp was established on August 17.
From the base camp, the team consisting of 9 members started their initial climb, followed by setting up of 3 camps – ABC, Camp-1, Camp-2, or Summit Camp.
On August 26, the team went for their final push around 2 in the night.
Finally, after several struggles with the obstacles on the steep slopes, the 9 members step on the summit of Mt. Jogin-III (6166m) around 8:30 in the morning.

The team consists of Upen Chakraborty, Bhaskar Baruah, Jayanta Nath, Shekhar Bordoli, Dhruba Jyoti Hazarika, Kaushik Das, Krishna Basumatry, and Rubi Borah under the leadership of Mansah Barooah.
