Directed with finesse by Partha Sarathi Mahanta, presently serving as the DIG of the Special Task Force of Assam Police, the film stands as a testament to his directorial prowess. Produced by the dynamic duo Mina Mahanta and Indrani Baruah, the project intricately weaves together the narrative brilliance of Dr. Amarjyoti Choudhury and the melodious tapestry of Rupam Talukdar’s music.

Anupam Mahanta’s creative direction, coupled with the meticulous storyboarding and illustration work of Hrishikesh Bora, alongside VFX by Ratul Dutta, played pivotal roles in contributing to the film’s visually stunning appeal. The film made its grand debut on November 25, 2022, during the 400th Birthday Anniversary Celebration of Lachit Barphukan in New Delhi.

This cinematic masterpiece celebrates the enduring legacy of Lachit Borphukan, born on November 24, 1622, and unfolds the narrative of his extraordinary leadership during the pivotal Battle of Saraighat in 1671. In this historical clash, Lachit’s resolute efforts thwarted the Mughal forces’ attempt to capture Assam, marking a significant chapter in the region’s history.

More than a cinematic achievement, “Lachit The Warrior” serves as a poignant tribute to a legendary historical figure.
