In a fresh development, it has been brought to knowledge that the ‘drunk old man’ whom Animesh Bhuyan was attempting to aid, is the father of the main accused ‘Kola Lora’, Niraz Das.
About the Revelation
The old man has been identified as Mohan Das, father of Animesh’s accused killer, Niraz Das. Mohan Das was reportedly intoxicated with heavy amounts of alcohol, because of which he mistook Animesh and his friends to be involved in the accident. However, they were merely attempting to help him.
Subsequently, the situation stirred into a chaotic turmoil, when a mob gathered. About 50 people, including two of Mohan Das’ sons, were involved in grievously injuring and attacking Animesh and his friends, even killing the former.
Police intervention
As of the present, 13 people, including the prime accused have been arrested in connection to the incident. Video footage is also being used to identify the people involved.
