The incident in-depth

After a road mishap that injured a pedestrian, a mob of roughly 50 people allegedly attacked the trio travelling together.

Animesh had visited Jorhat for some purchase and unfortunately along with 2 others fell victim to misunderstanding as the mob gathered to assist the victim, Dy365 reported.

Animesh Bhuyan, a 23-year-old AASU leader from Dergaon in the neighbouring Golaghat district, had travelled Jorhat with local TV reporter Mridusmanta Baruah and another person, police reports state.
