As we’re all aware that Assam government has issued a strict adherence to Covid-19 safety protocols, for the celebration of the upcoming Durga Puja and other festivals in the state. Today, on October 5, the Jorhat Administration issued SOP for Mahalaya.
The SOP reads there will be no procession and Melas will not be allowed to be positioned in or around the pandals.
The curfew timing is from 10pm to 5am. Strict action will be taken against the violators and Covid-19 protocols are strictly to be followed.
Furthermore, the state government has asked all the devotees to receive at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine ahead of the puja celebration.
