Indian Railways launches two new Vistadome Express trains between Assam and Arunachal

Indian Railways: In order to improve the connectivity between several regions of North Eastern India, the Indian Railways on December 19, launched two new Vistadome Express trains between the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

Initiation:

The trains were inaugurated at Guwahati Railway station by Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma and CM Shri Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh from Naharlagun Railway Station.

About the Indian Railways trains:

These trains will run between Tinsukia in Assam and Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh five days a week, expect, on Tuesdays and Fridays from Naharlagun and Mondays and Thursdays from Tinsukia. Passengers will be able to avail the services of these two trains on a regular basis from December 21.

Special features:

To its passengers the Vistadome Express offers a special type of railway coach which includes large window panes, a glass roof, 180-degree pushback rotatable chairs, observation decks, etc., among many other features which enhance the travel experience of passengers by a considerable margin.

Chief Minister Khandu said, “Initiating these new express trains will increase tourist footfall to the less explored North-Eastern part of India, which in turn will boost the economy.”
