On Saturday night, a group of heavily intoxicated young individuals caused chaos along Guwahati’s GS Road by wielding rods, bamboo sticks, and wooden objects.

The incident unfolded at Pancham Tower on GS Road, where these inebriated individuals launched an attack on a passerby returning from a concert featuring Bollywood singer Arijit Singh. Using rods and wooden sticks, they assaulted the victim before abandoning them on the road.
Subsequently, this group sought refuge inside Pancham Tower. However, upon receiving a tip about the impending police arrival, they swiftly fled the premises. Upon the police’s arrival, distress calls were heard emanating from the parking area of Pancham Tower. Allegedly, two individuals were confined there and required rescue.
In the aftermath, local residents raised concerns about potential antisocial activities occurring within Pancham Tower. Despite these assertions, there exists a lack of substantial evidence substantiating these claims at present. The incident has sparked apprehension within the community, prompting a closer examination of the situation within the premises of Pancham Tower.
