Guwahati: Rs 3.5 lakh looted from man by bike-borne miscreants in broad daylight

On Monday afternoon, two bike-borne criminals stole Rs 3.5 lakh from a four-wheeler parked outside the State Bank of India (SBI) in Guwahati’s Noonmati region.

According to reports, a gentleman named Mohammad Safiqul Haque withdrew the money from his SBI bank Noonmati branch savings account.

Speaking to the media in this regard, the victim said, “I kept the money in the front seat of my car when two bike-borne miscreants in a black Pulsar bike came towards me and snatched the bag containing cash worth Rs 3.5 lakh from the car and escaped.”

Investigation is on

The victim lives in the Noonmati neighbourhood of Jayanta Nagar.

Following the incident, Noonmati police arrived on the scene and began an inquiry into the matter. According to sources, the city police had also acquired CCTV footage near the SBI bank.

Another such case reported from Guwahati

Two bike-borne miscreants looted Rs 35 lakh in Guwahati’s Fatasil neighbourhood earlier this year in a shocking theft case.

The event occurred outside the Fatasil HDFC bank.

The miscreants in a black pulsar stole the money from an Innova automobile parked in front of HDFC bank with the registration number -AS01 DU 0003.

Bhabendra Pal Singh, a businessman, is said to be the owner of the looted funds.

On Pal’s orders, his driver and one of his subordinates withdrew the looted money from the State Bank of India (SBI) and the Baroda Bank in Paltanbazar.

When the miscreants on motorcycles arrived, they grabbed the money from inside their Innova car. The driver attempted to apprehend the criminals, but they assaulted him and fled.
