According to information, police have recovered the dead body of a youth from the zoo road area of Guwahati.
On 25th December, the dead body was recovered at Bhaskar Nagar in the Zoo Road area of Guwahati.
Police suspects that his body was dumped there
Reportedly, the police are suspecting that the body was dumped there after killing the youth in the night.
At present, the dead body has been taken to Chandmari Police Station. And from there it will be taken to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
The police have noticed bruises on various parts of the dead body. A mobile phone has also been recovered from the spot which according to police will help them in investigating the case and the motive behind the death.
As per reports from Pratidin Time, “The deceased has been identified as one Lachit Barman, aged 25. A resident of Kukurmara in Chaygaon, he lived in the city’s Uzan Bazar area with his elder sister.”
From the last few months, Guwahati has seen a rise in number of such crimes and murders.
As per reports, in just 10 months a total of 892 murder cases have been registered in various police stations of Assam. In Guwahati, total 39 murder cases have been registered. Nagaon registered the highest number of cases followed by Dibrugrah.
