A man alleged to have died by suicide after slashing his wife and son’s throats in Guwahati’s Satgaon neighbourhood.
Man murders wife and son due to financial burdens
The family, according to insiders, was in grave financial circumstances. And additionally, the man murdered his wife and son prior to actually murdering himself, unable to bear the burden of financial failures.
The deceased, Bhabesh Sarma, was the owner of a Homeopathic pharmacy. His spouse is Himadri Sarma, and his son is Parag Sarma.
Himadri Sarma, on the other hand, is claimed to be battling for her survival in GMCH, as per sources.
Bhabesh was reportedly found hanging from the ceiling fan in his house, while his wife and son were found in severe condition inside one of the rooms.
Similar occurrence in the neighboring state of Meghalaya
In a similar scenario in the neighbouring state of Meghalaya, a man called Bose Kharbani (25) allegedly committed suicide after murdering his wife Rosemary Lyngkhoi (26).
They rented a property at Mawiaban, nearby Siejlieh hamlet in the West Khasi Hills. The incident took place on Tuesday after residents alerted village officials, who subsequently alerted the police.
Authorities found the man hanging from the house’s ceiling, with his partner’s body dead on the bed in the same room, according to reports.
Six-month-old baby found by the bedside
The six-month-old baby was discovered by the bedside and was immediately sent to a medical centre in Nongstoin.
Villagers alerted authorities after hearing the baby crying incessantly in the morning.
When the event was detected, a crime scene unit was deployed from Shillong. According to the authorities, the husband is believed to have killed his wife with a knife found in the room.
