On Wednesday morning, the 26th of May, a wild male buffalo crossed the Brahmaputra River and strayed onto the JWIL Water Project campus in Kharguli.

A team from the Narengi Forest Beat in the Guwahati Range, as well as veterinarians from the Assam State Zoo, came to the scene right once.

However, the animal moved to an inaccessible spot during the waiting period, preventing the relocation from taking place.

The animal is now finding refuge in a rainforest on the Brahmaputra’s bank, where it is being watched by forest rangers.
