Elephants are majestic creatures yet gentle in nature, and this incident proves it. In Tamil Nadu, a herd of wild elephants trampled a banana plantation, leaving behind the tree with a bird’s nest. Video of the incident has gone viral over the internet.
The episode took place in Sathyamangala, a town in Erode district, when five wild elephants entered the town from the Vilamundi Forest, a local Thanthi TV reported. As per reports, the elephants invaded a man’s garden, identified as Krishnasamy, and destroyed more than 300 banana trees.
On Friday, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda shared a video of the incident on Twitter. While the elephants rained destruction of the crops, it left behind the tree with the bird’s nest undisturbed.
“This is the reason why elephants are called gentle giants. Destroyed all the banana trees, except the one having nests. Gods amazing nature,” the IFS officer captioned the video.
