World Anesthesia Day celebrated at Pratiksha Hospital
Simultaneously, on October 16, 2023, the Department of Operation Theatre Technology celebrated World Anesthesia Day. Dr. Daisy Gogoi, Senior Consultant in Anesthesia at Pratiksha Hospital, Guwahati, engaged with students on the topic of ‘Anesthesia and Cancer Care.’ Her comprehensive discussion covered the significance, types, branches, and other facets of anesthesia, captivating the audience with essential insights into this vital component of the medical field.
Additionally, in observance of World Food Day, the university’s Helping Hands Club fulfilled its mission by donating dry rations and food items to beneficiaries of Destination, an NGO located in Kahilipara. Destination focuses on serving children and the elderly with special needs, reflecting the Helping Hands Club’s commitment to assisting vulnerable populations. This benevolent act was executed under the guidance of the university’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell, underscoring the institution’s dedication to community well-being and social responsibility.
