In a recent incident, Gauhati University(GU) made headlines after it canceled the exams of the TDC 4th Semester Philosophy Honours 1st paper held today. The twist here is that GU informed the same after students were almost done with their papers.
According to some students of B. Borooah College, the faculty members allegedly knew about this from the commencement of the exam but they did not inform them earlier. However, GU mentioned that the exam has been canceled due to unavoidable circumstances and that the University will reschedule the exam soon.
Talking to The North-Eastern Chronicle, a professor of B. Borooah College said that the question paper had been wrongly submitted today. The paper was not for today’s exam so it had to be cancelled.
The professor also informed that they got to learn about the issue after students of B. Borooah College informed them about the same and they immediately took action and enquired about the same. The professor said, “This is the University’s problem. This is a very rare thing which happened and I think this is the first time that this is happening and we regret it”.
