The Indian Air Force dropped off food in Dima Hasao

On Wednesday, 18th May 2022, the Indian Air Force (IAF) began dropping off food in the Dima Hasao area of Assam.

The IAF reportedly airdropped 12 MT of food and other supplies in Assam’s Dima Hasao area on 19th May 2022.

Due to floods, Dima Hasao is one of Assam’s worst-affected districts, with rail and road communication completely disrupted.

Landslides were triggered by excessive rains, and hence road and train services in Assam’s Dima Hasao area were delayed last week.
