MLA of Kamalpur constituency Diganta Kalita recently visited Moukuchi Gaon under Kendukuna Panchayat to assess the condition of Puthimari river. The minister was further informed by the locals about the construction of a drain without any RCC concrete.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Diganta Kalita shared the news writing “Reached Moukuchi Gaon under Kendukuna Panchayat to review Puthimari River & exchange views with the public.
The locals informed me about the negligence while constructing a drain under the 14 Finance Commission. The authorities allegedly constructed the drain without RCC concrete.
I immediately summoned the Construction Committee Prez & Assistant Engineer after which they accepted their fault.
I directed the authorities to take necessary action against the culprits & by now 2 of them have been arrested”.
