According to reports, Dibrugarh police recovered a chopped head of an infant near the banks of the Brahmaputra river in the Moinajan area of Dibrugarh.
Reportedly, the dog was seen dragging the head which was dumped inside a garbage bin.

Dibrugarh police did not find the body of the infant
However, Dibrugarh police were unable to find the body of the infant as of now. They suspect that the dogs might have eaten the body of the infant.
Also, a piece of paper near the head carrying medical records of the infant was recovered by the police.
As per information, the baby was born on 18th December at around 8.15 pm. And the baby weighed around 2 kg at the time of discharge.
The cut off head was taken to Assam Medical College Hospital
Later, the head was taken to AMCH for an autopsy.
The spot where the head was found was also thoroughly inspected by the Dibrugarh police and other officials from the health department.
