A woman was arrested by Delhi Police for allegedly robbing her own mother’s house in Uttam Nagar.
Daughter Arrested for Robbing Mother’s House in Delhi
The incident, which occurred on January 30th between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm, involved the theft of gold and silver jewellery, along with Rs 25,000 in cash.
According to police reports, the woman, identified as Shweta, confessed to the crime, revealing financial struggles and feelings of being less loved by her mother. She admitted to planning the robbery out of envy and irritation towards her younger sister, whom her mother favoured.
Furthermore, Shweta was arrested after the anti-burglary cell reviewed evidence and identified her entering the house disguised in a black burqa.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), Ankit Singh, stated that Shweta stole her sister’s jewellery after taking the house keys while helping her mother with relocation.
