Cotton University today, released a notice about ‘Earn while you learn programme’ (EWYLP).
The Earn while you learn programme provides opportunities to the students to earn while they are learning through part-time jobs.

Cotton University to start EWYLP
According to the notice, the university has planned to engage PG level student volunteers for various activities in the university or department.
The notice said, each of the volunteers has to give one to two hours after their classes on specific days for different works in the department or university.
Also, the volunteers from economically weaker sections will be paid remuneration of Rs. 100 per hour, added the notice.
However, as per the notice maximum engagement during the month will not exceed 15 hours.
Process to apply
As mentioned in the notice, students who are willing to volunteer have to write to the respective head of departments.
Further the head of departments shall process it and get an approval from the Registrar of Cotton University.
Cotton University formerly known as Cotton College is a public state university located in Pan Bazar of Guwahati, Assam. It was established in 2017 by the provisions of an Act from the Assam Legislative Assembly which merged Cotton College State University and Cotton College.
It was the oldest institute of higher education in Assam, and within the whole of Northeast India.
The Earn while you learn programme provides opportunities to the students to earn while they are learning through the part-time jobs. It has recently picked up pace in India.
