Aroosa Parvaiz, a Srinagar resident who won the class 12 board exams in the science stream, was trolled online for not wearing a ‘hijab.’ In response to the trolls, Parvaiz stated that she follows Islamic beliefs and that she does not need to wear a hijab to prove herself to be a good Muslim.

Aroosa Parvaiz, speaking to India Today, said, “I have belief in Allah and follow Islamic principles. I don’t need to wear a hijab to prove myself a good Muslim.”
Aroosa Parvaiz expressed her dissatisfaction with online trolling. “I am not bothered by it,” she said, “but my parents are very worried after these comments on social media.”
Aroosa was honoured by District Administration
The district administration honoured Aroosa Parvaiz on Friday for bagging first in the science stream in the recently declared results of the class 12 class board examination.

Aroosa Parvaiz was the subject of toxic trolling on social media on Saturday morning. On the one hand, some social media users congratulated her, while others chastised her for not wearing a hijab.
