The CBSE is encouraging students to reapply for the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) for college and university students. Students who are receiving the scholarship can renew it until November 30. To renew your application, go to the official scholarship website, scholarships.gov.in.
The CSSS scholarship is open to new applicants through November 30. Students from the following state and central school boards are eligible to apply: Assam, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram, Nagaland, Telangana, Maharashtra, CISCE, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Punjab, Tripura, Meghalaya, Kerala, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, CBSE, Madh Other state candidates will have to wait for a while.
Students applying for CSSS must keep the following documents and information on hand for verification by the institutions: bank account information, aadhaar card number, parental income certificate, valid mobile number, e-mail address, caste certificate (if applicable), and disability certificate (if required)
CSSS Scholarship: Eligibility Criteria
After completing the authorities’ qualifying conditions, students can apply for the CSSS scholarship.
Students who scored in the top 80% of successful applicants in a certain Board of Examination’s relevant stream in Class 12.
Students enrolled in a normal class (not correspondence or distance mode)
The applicant’s family income should be less than Rs 8 lakh per year.
Diploma students who are not receiving any other scholarship or fee reimbursement of any type are not eligible to participate in this scheme.
“All candidates are advised to apply online within the stipulated time and get their online applications verified by the institutions (if required show the original documents to institute) else the application would be treated as invalid,” read the communique shared by CBSE.
Other scholarship by CBSE
CBSE Scholarship, also known as CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child, provides financial aid to deserving female students in class 10 (who are the family’s only girl children) to continue their studies in classes 11 and 12. The CBSE scholarship scheme, which is run by the Central Body of Secondary Education, the country’s first education board, intends to fund the higher education of female students who are also the only girl child in their family.
The CBSE scholarship has a series of pre-defined eligibility requirements that you must meet to apply. These requirements are largely determined by your current qualifications, academic performance, and other factors. However, the most important qualification for this scholarship is that it is only available to a family’s single girl child. Furthermore, you must meet the following critical requirements:
Only Indian citizens are eligible for the scholarship.
Girls who have passed their CBSE class 10 examination with a grade of 60 percent or above in the current academic year are eligible to apply.
They must be in classes 11 and 12 at CBSE-affiliated institutions with a monthly tuition price of INR 1,500 or less.
CBSE Scholarship – Award Details
A student who obtains a CBSE scholarship earns INR 500 per month (INR 6,000 per year) to pursue her studies in classes 11 and 12. The scholarship is for a maximum of two years and the money is sent to the recipients via NEFT or ECS. Every year, a certain number of scholarships are awarded. However, based on the prior year’s statistics, the total number of scholarships ranges between 1400 to 1600. (approx.).
CBSE Scholarship – Udaan Scholarship
Aside from the Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Children, CBSE also offers the CBSE Udaan Scholarship. It’s also a good idea for female education. Under this program, female students in grades 11 and 12 will receive free study materials (both online and offline) to help them prepare for the engineering entrance exam. The program intends to increase the number of girls enrolled in the country’s top engineering schools.
