On the eve of India’s independence day, an incident took place. A government school has been bombed at the Assam-Mizoram border.
Last night the locals heard the sound of an explosion, according to the available information.

However, when the residents went to verify the source of the sound, they found that the bomb blasted in Pakua Punjee LP School in Sahabmara has been found partly damaged.
The school is located in Ramnathpur, Nodal teacher of the School Ujjwal Nath asserts that they have got the location and are on their way to visit the school. It is in the deep interior of Ramnathpur’s Gutguti.
“From the ferry, we will have to sail on the boat to reach the school”, says Nodal.
It is a Bengal Medium school, evaluated during Guno Utsav under DISE code 18230215202 is empanelled under Sarba Siksha Abhijan.
Forces have been mobilised to verify
Hailakandi SP, Gaurav Upadhyay said that the information has been procured, the blast has occurred at a school within 500 meters inside the Assam-Mizoram border. After receiving the information forces have been mobilised to verify it.
Also, he further added,” it is a shadow area with limited or no network connectivity and that is why I am yet to be briefed about the actual situation.”

No injuries caused!
The school is closed due to Covid 19 and there was no one around because this incident took place at night, as per the locals blasts did not cause any injuries.
A local teacher points out that, to terrorize the people living in the border area, the mizos are doing this intentionally.
“This is their way of threatening parents and guardians who send their children to Independence day tomorrow,” said a local.
