What led to the shutdown?
As reported by Prag News, the Cinema Hall’s owner faced significant losses throughout the pandemic.
The issue was brought to the prior attention of the government, and discussions were undertaken, but no proper resolution could be sorted out.

According to Prag News the government deemed shorthanded on providing needed assistance to the cinema halls of Assam.
