On Monday, September 27, an employee at the Assam Secretariat reportedly died by suicide at his own residence in Guwahati. The deceased, Vivek Das was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Assam Secretariat Residence, Housefed complicated C-Block No.202 flat in the Beltola area of Guwahati.
Vivek Das worked as a Senior Administrative Assistant in the General Administration Department of the Assam Secretariat.
His body was found hanging by the Assam police on Monday along with it the police additionally discovered a suicide note from the site of the incident.
Details of the suicide note
In his suicide note, Das alleged that even after working for long hours with so much dedication he was held chargeable for making some major errors in his work. In his note, Das alleged that his superior blamed Das for the mistakes committed by the superior himself. This was cited as the reason which compelled Vivek Das to take the drastic step.
After such revelations, a full on research has been demanded by the deceased’s family members.
Recent Suicides in Guwahati
In another shocking incident that happened this month was that of a person in the Satgaon area of Guwahati who had died by suicide after slashing the throat of his spouse and his six-year-old.
The wife was subconscious and was discovered with wounds marks on her neck, and was taken right away to the hospital. Meanwhile, the body of her husband and her six year old son was taken for post mortem.
