Assam Man dies in Paragliding mishap
Man died in paragliding mishap

In yet another unfortunate incident, a 24-year-old man from Tinsukia district of Assam allegedly died after he fell from a paraglider on January 26.

Incident in Assam, Tinsukia:

Reports say that the incident took place at Skyland resort near Dibru River in Gujian. 

The victim:

The Victim has been identified as Pankaj Gogoi, who is from Lakhimpur. 

It is to be noted that this isn’t the time that a person has been killed after falling from a paraglider.

Previous cases:

Earlier, in 2021, a man died after falling from a paraglider in Bir Billing. A case was registered by the Kangra Police under sections 304A IPC against the 22-year-old pilot who was accompanying the victim.

The deceased was identified as Sandeep Chaudhary, aged 30, of A Mumta village of Nagrota Bagwan in Kangra. After receiving information about the incident, the police registered a case and started investigation by taking possession of the dead body.

Dharamshala Tourism Department Deputy Director, Prithi Pal Singh said, “According to preliminary information, the harness was not tied properly by the pilot due to which the tourist died. Investigation is underway in the matter.”
