The Assam Government has announced a financial incentive for Inter caste marriage scheme 2021-22.
What will the scheme do?
The scheme will cover couples whose inter-community marriages face stiff resistance from their families. The state will offer an amount from which they can at least start a small business.
Eligibility criteria:
Only those couples will be able to apply for the scheme whose marriage was performed between April 2019 and March 2021, one in the couple must belong to an SC community and other to the general caste besides the annual income of the couple shouldn’t exceed Rs 5 lakh.
Willings may register themselves at assam.mygov.in. Last date for the submission of application is December 3, 2021.
