Darrang Police have offered a cash prize of Rs 2 lakh to anyone who can help them solve the case of a living full-grown rhino’s horn being taken away with a tranquilizer in Orang National Park and Tiger Reserve (ONPTR).
The cash reward was announced by Superintendent of Police Raj Mohan Ray for any individual or organization providing any information or hint regarding the gang or individuals involved in the crime.
Moreover, he said that if anyone has any information on the case, they can call 94357-46075.

Meanwhile, the identities of such people would be kept private.
Poachers allegedly modified their tactics and used tranquilizers on a rhino for the first time in Assam, according to reports.
The crew then expertly sliced off the rhino’s horn without killing it.
However, the Darrang police will take strong action against this group of poachers, according to the SP.
