Assam-Bengal Border clash: On the evening of December 10, massive outrage broke out in East Falimari village under the Bakshirhat Police Station in Cooch Behar district along the Assam-Bengal border which was a consequence of a dispute amidst two groups.
About the Assam-Bengal Border clash:
Several people were injured on the spot as both the groups indulged into vicious fights attacking one another with lathis and sharp weapons.
A minimum of two persons went through severe injuries after being ferociously attacked by a mob of 200 people. Besides, the houses of Barek Mir, Jamal Sheikh and Askar Ali were entirely torn down and all the possessions of the three in the house were looted.
Hereafter, the situation went worse when the black hats set their houses on fire.
Aftermath:
A team of Bengal police reached the spot where the clash took place and took the reins of the situation.
Current situation:
Due to the heinous scenario that took place on December 10, most of the families who used to stay at the place of the clash have started to take refuge in Assam.
