Assam: Three activist of an organization has been arrested by Bajali police for their alleged involvement in an extortion case. The accused were identified as Parag Das, Nisanta Das and Kailash Roy, who are members of Lachit Sena.
How they were arrested and on what basis
As per officials, they were informed about the alleged exortion after a complaint has been filed against them. The 3 accused allegedly demanded Rs 20,000 from a group of masons at Pathsala on November 17.
Bajali SP Dharmendra Kumar Das said “Based on a complaint, we investigate the matter and arrested the three persons,”
What did the Court Ordered
After the arrests the three accused were produced before the Bajali CJM court. The court has ordered to sent them into 14-day judicial custody.
What’s Etortion and how did they demanded money
The three accused individual demanded money through telephone from a group of masons in Pathshala.
