ASDMA issued COVID-19 directives across the state for Independence day

On 13th August, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) issued directives for the containment of COVID-19 across the state. 

The directives will be applicable only for the Independence Day celebration on 15th August 2021.

The directives that are issued by ASDMA

At state level celebration in open space/field,  the gatherings should not be more than 1500 persons. 

At district level celebration in open space/field,  the gatherings should not be more than 500 persons. 

At a sub-divisional level celebration in an open space/field, the gatherings should not be more than 300 persons. 

Directives for celebration at de-centralized locations

For celebration at any de-centralized locations except as mentioned above, the gatherings should not be more than 200 persons. 

For celebration within the closed hall, auditorium, etc, the gatherings should not be more than 50% of the seating capacity or 200 persons, whichever is less.

COVID-19 protocols during Independence Day

Persons/officials involved with the celebration or moving for participation in the Independence Day celebration will be exempted from the purview of curfew hours and odd-even vehicular restrictions. 

COVID-19 protocols including COVID-19 appropriate behavior like wearing of face mask, maintenance of social distancing, sensitization, etc by all during the ceremony/function are to be strictly followed.
