According to officials, on 28th August a team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided at Armaan Kohli’s house and later arrested him after the banned drugs was allegedly recovered from his house.
NCB officials conducted the raid following the arrest of a drug peddler
The raid was conducted following the arrest of a drug peddler Ajay Raju Singh from near Haji Ali, Worli. The peddler allegedly supplies drugs to film and TV personalities.
Previously Ajay was involved in a 2018 drugs case of ANC Mumbai wherein huge quantity of Ephedrine was recovered. According to sources, a small amount of cocaine was found at Kohli’s residence, meanwhile NCB Mumbai has registered Crime No. 82/21 in this case. Armaan Kohli has been arrested under section 21(a), 27(a), 28, 29, 30, & 35 of NDPS Act and Peddler Ajay Raju Singh has been arrested under 22b(a), 27A, 28, 29, 30, & 35 of NDPS Act.
What does the NCB official have to say?
NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede said, “The NCB had raided Kohli’s home late last evening and then took him to its office after recovering the banned narcotics”. He further added that the case could have international connection as the recovered cocaine had originated from South America. “The NCB is probing the route and linkages used to bring the seized cocaine to Mumbai and the involvement of other traffickers,” Wankhede said.
Earlier the actor got arrested for ‘assaulting’ co-actor
This is not the first time for Armaan Kohli to get arrested. In 2013, Kohli got arrested in an assault case, which was filed by former Bigg Boss 7 contestant Sofia Hayat. She claimed that Kohli allegedly assaulted her during their stay at Bigg Boss. Kohli was also charged with sexual harassment.
