The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) released the first candidate list for the 2022 election of the Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council on Wednesday.
The APCC has announced the candidate list for 21 of the 22 constituencies. The name of the left-out constituency would be disclosed soon, according to APCC president Bhupen Kumar Borah.
“Sharing the authorised list of @INCAssam candidates for the approaching Thengal Kachari Autonomous Council (TKAC) election due on 20th January 2022,” Borah wrote on Twitter. All of our candidates for the TKAC elections have my best wishes and heartfelt congratulations.”

Nagabat Constituency (ST) – Sunil Regan; Borhola Constituency (General women) – Bonti Bora Saikia; Madhapur Constituency (ST) – Anil Kachari; Phulbari Constituency (ST) – Ratul Saikia; Dihingla Constituency (ST) – Achinta Saikia, according to the shared list.
Lakhyajit Hazarika represents Titabar Constituency (ST); Akshay Jyoti Saikia represents Samoguri Constituency (ST); Kanram Kachari represents Baruajan Constituency (ST); Puneswar Saikia represents Jalukonibari Constituency (ST); Lakheswar Hazarika represents Tamulbari Constituency (ST); Bipin Bora represents Thengal Komar Gaon Constituency (ST).
