Anuradha Sharma Pujari was awarded the 2021 Sahitya Akademi Award for her novel ‘Yat Ekhon Aranya Asil’.

About Anuradha Sharma Pujari
Anuradha Sharma Pujari is an Assamese journalist and author. She was born in Jorhat and studied sociology at the Dibrugarh University.
She completed journalism at the Birla Institute of Liberal Arts and Management Sciences, Kolkata. She is the editor of Sadin and Satsori.
Her first novel named Hridoy Ek Bigyapan, became popular among the youth of Assam. She is known as “one of the most popular writers of this generation.”
Some of her famous works are ‘Hriday Ek Bigyapan’, ‘Nil Prajapati’, ‘Mereng’, ‘Kanchen’ and so on.
The Sahitya Akademi Award established in 1954, is a literary honor in India, which the Sahitya Akademi, India’s National Academy of Letters, annually gives out to writers.
To the writers of the most outstanding books of literary merit published in any of the 24 major Indian languages.
