After Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra, was arrested on Monday, an old Kapil Sharma Show footage has gone viral. He was arrested for allegedly being a “key conspirator” in the production of pornographic videos.
Raj Kundra, actor Shilpa Shetty‘s entrepreneur husband, was arrested on Monday, sending shockwaves throughout Bollywood. Raj was arrested in connection with the alleged making of pornographic films and their distribution through several apps.
Old video of Kapil Sharma show emerged
While many fans were dissatisfied, a video clip of Kapil Sharma asking Raj about his source of income began circulating on social media.
The clip in question is from the June 2020 episode of The Kapil Sharma Show. Shilpa Shetty, husband Raj Kundra and sister Shamita Shetty are seen on the couch of Kapil Sharma’s comedy and discussion program.
Kapil is seen humorously inquiring about Raj’s source of income in a brief video published by certain fan pages, as he’s always seen bringing Shilpa shopping, playing football matches with Bollywood celebs, and enjoying exotic trips.
The guests laughed as Kapil asked him, “Bina kuch kiye paisa kaise kamate ho aap (how do you manage to get money without doing anything).”

Raj Kundra arrest
In February this year, the Mumbai crime branch’s Property Cell filed an FIR in connection with the case, and nine people were arrested shortly after. Raj Kundra’s name came up during the accused’s interrogation, according to authorities.
Raj was arrested after being called for questioning on July 19th for being the “chief conspirator” in the case. On July 20th, he was taken to jail by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
On Tuesday, he will be produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate Court (MCC), also known as Killa Court.
Shilpa Shetty’s comeback amid drama
Shilpa is preparing her comeback to the big screens with the release of her forthcoming movie, Hungama 2, later this week. It comes as Shilpa is gearing up for the release of her upcoming acting comeback in Hungama 2 this week.
