Kamakhya Temple situated in the Nilachal hills in Guwahati, Assam is all set for the Ambubachi Mela. The Mela will be conducted after a gap of a couple of years due to the pandemic situation. But as the Covid-19 situation in Assam is slightly improving, the District Administration and the Kamakhya Temple Trust Board took the decision to hold the event.

Ambubachi Mela to held soon
The Mela is one of the biggest religious congregation that is held in India. People from all over the country and abroad come to be a part of the event.
However the District Administration appealed to the Temple Board members to keep the numbers of attendees limited.
Pallav Gopal Jha who is the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metro said, “I appeal to the Kamakhya Temple Trust Board to keep the numbers of devotees attending the Ambubachi Mela limited.”
