A minor girl who was just 13 year old girl was brutally murdered at her residence in Uzanbazar, Guwahati city on 1st September.
The horrific incident of the girl which shook the entire city found its lead. The Investigation is still underway to find the culprit.
Commissioner of police, Guwahati, Harmeet Singh said, “We have got a couple of leads in the case. Investigation is being carried out scientifically. We cannot reveal anything at present for the sake of the investigation. Forensic, CID and dog squad teams are on the spot. Let us work on it”.
Now the Police have taken 3 persons into custody which are , the victim’s uncle, his son Ashish Gupta and another person Jitumoni Sarma who lives on rent in their house. But the mobile phone of the girl is yet to be recovered.

As per reports, on 1st September the girl’s phone was received by Ashish when the victim’s father called her last and he told him that she was in the Bathroom. It’s when some unidentified miscreants entered the home and brutally killed the young girl.
The case has nothing related to it so the police have kept its investigation on and the 3 persons are in Latasil Police Station for interrogation.
