Arunachal: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has claimed that Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his relatives are indulged in a multi-crore scam. It also claims that the CM misused funds granted to various departments.

Allegations by the body in Arunachal:

The Body also claimed that the CM has issued a clarification on the allegations within 15 days. But as he failed to present a proper justification it led to launch a ‘democratic movement’ demanding his resignation from the CM’s post.

Further, the association claimed that there were scams involving the CM under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY), panchayat and hydropower schemes, etc.

ANYA while speaking to the media:

While speaking to the media, ANYA president Byabang Joram said, “An amount of Rs 188.4 crore was sanctioned in March 2021, which was used without proper implementation of CAMPA-related works.”

“Likewise, during his (Khandu’s) tenure as in-charge of the department, Rs 400 crore was sanctioned as dispersed under CAMPA. Considering the loopholes in the execution of the scheme, a legal notice was served to the department seeking a CBI inquiry. However, to date, there has been no response from the CM and the state government,” he said, adding, “It clearly indicates that the fund was misused and siphoned off through fake bills by officials and local politicians,” he added.
