All new Nike shoes designed for metaverse is gaining everyone’s attention this season. The brand new collection called the Cryptokicks is being being auctioned on Opensea which is an online marketplace.
Nike shoes sold at $9500
The shoes are being auctioned as Non Fungible Tokens or NFT. The customers are going hay wired and are paying more than $9,500 in cryptocurrency. Some shoes has been reportedly being sold off for more than six figures.
So far more than 9,000 Nike Dunk Genesis NFT’s has been sold.
According to reports, these super expensive shoes will we worn by an avatar that will walk around the virtual world. These kicks are customizable, which enables the sneaker heads to change the colour, swoosh and straps according to their choice.
These shoes were designed the company acquired the startup last year. The company feels that these shoes will be a boom in the coming years of metaverse.
