Amidst the rise in Covid 19 cases in China, the country has gone into a lock down. Covid-19 which emerged first at Wuhan, china had a large impact on the world. Initially people had been very supportive of the government measures that kept the disease at bay but now people are slowing not being able to keep up with it.

China; rising Covid-19 cases
A large number of people can be seen screaming out of their high rise buildings out of frastruation. The lock down not only impacts a person’s mental well being but also affects the economy of the country. Over the last two years, people all over the world has seen the worl’s largest inflation till date. The economy of a country was at stake. Many countries have now withdrawn some of its strict policy against covid but the fear of the pandemic still lures at the back of the mind. People cannot afford to loose everything that they had built all over again.
A similar kind of situation has arised in China when the country has witnessed a sudden rise in Covid cases. According to a report from Times of India, Sun Jian who is a university student pursuing a masters degree in the city of Yantai was expelled from his university after he staged a protest over the strict covid protocols.

China has arrested many individuals since the measures put back in place. A lot many people were against these and as a result the government ordered arrests and detentions since March. As per the reports from Weibo, almost 600 police cases were registered in China and 150 confirmed arrests were made in the country.
From a recent video that has surfaced all over the internet, people in China can be seen screaming from their residents to lift up the lock down measures. The strict measures that are in place in the capital city of Shanghai, makes the people unable to leave their homes even for food. Measures like separation of an infant who is positive from their mother is some of the strict actions that has been initiated by the government to curb the numbers.
