In a tragic incident, a police official from Dergaon died in a road accident on his way home.
As per reports, the police official was posted in Jorhat.
Police official was heading towards Dergaon
Reportedly, the police officer was heading towards Dergaon on his motorcycle.
Suddenly he lost control of his motorcycle and ran into an electric post on the road side.
The police official has been identified as Mrigen Bora. Bora had been building a house in his home town Dergaon.
And as soon as he would get a day off, he went to Dergaon to take a look at his under-construction house.
Bora succumbed to his injuries
The locals tried to take him to the hospital. But Bora died on his way to the hospital.
Reportedly, he received injuries on his head due to which he couldn’t survive.
2 children and a woman were killed in road accident
In another incident, a few days back in Baksa district of Assam, two children along with a female teacher were killed during a road accident.
The incident took place in Daodhara area. The teacher along with the two children were on their way to home on a two-wheeler.
A speeding truck on National Highway 127 hit the two-wheeler following which the teacher and the two children died on spot.
The locals of the area protested against the accident and set the truck on fire.
Further, as per reports the truck driver along with the truck surrendered himself to the Simla Police station. The driver was identified as Khalek Ali.
