Over the ongoing row on the Azaan loudspeakers and Hanuman Chalisa, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackery ripped the opposition by saying that they would not tolerate any form of ‘dadagiri’ and will clearly show the opposition what it takes to challenge the Shiv Sena.
Uddhav Thackery’s response to BJP
As per reports, Uddhav Thakery responded to BJP’s attempt to dilute Hindutva policy using as a backdrop over the ongoing case. He said, “ if ypu want to chant Hanuman Chalisa, do it. But if you do Dadagiri, then we know how to break it up.. We will show you what Bheema Roop and Maha Rudra is if you challenge the Shiv Sena.. Our Hindutva is as strong as Galadhari Hanuman.”
Ending the 30 year alliance with BJP , the Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackery said that the party has not left the ideology of Hindutva and are asking the opposition on the things they had done in the name of Hindutva.
The Shiv Sena leader, Uddhav Thackery further questioned the opposition, “ when the babri masjid was brought down, you ran into your hole. The decision to build the Ram Temple was not from your government but from the court. And when it was built you went with a Jhola to the people. Where is your Hindutva?”
Earlier on Saturday, MP Navneet rana and her husband MLA Ravi rana were arrested for insisting to recite Hanuman Chalisa in front of Shiv Sena’s house. In a counter response, Davendra Fadnavis who is a party member of BJP said that the arrest of the Rana’s is a form of Hitlershahi by the shiv Sena. However the court rulings supported the ruling goevernment’s decision on the arrest on the grounds of law and order problem that could have escalated.
The judges of the Bombay High Court said, “A declaration that a person would recite religious verses at another person’s place or at a public place is a breach of the personal liberty of the other person. With great power comes great responsibilities, and the person in public life are expected to act responsibly.”
