As per reports, in a terrifying incident, an alleged group of transgenders brutally assaulted a married couple. The married couple was from Lakhimpur.
Couple shifted to nearby hospital
However, later on the couple was shifted to a nearby hospital and they were in critical condition, when admitted. According to the spectators, they claimed that an argument broke out between a group of kinnars and the couple, which ultimately led to the violence.

After the Paltan Bazar police arrived at the spot, the group of transgenders were also seen misbehaving with the police.
“They have misbehaved with us. Soon they started to remove their clothes by themselves in the midst of the road, thus, taking advantage of the situation. Later, a transgender informed us that the group doesn’t belong to their community and are engaged in unlawful activities in the city,” one of the police officials said.
No arrests made so far
Apart from the couple, about four to five policemen and CRPF personnel also received minor injuries during the argument, said police. No arrests have been made so far.
