Ahead of the Assembly polls, severe revolts have been reported in Manipur after Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) denies party tickets to nominees for contesting elections.

Protest-
Hours after BJP published its list of 60 nominees for the Manipur assembly polls on Sunday, furious proponents of its denied nominees burnt flags and posters and screamed slogans against the party leaders.
The BJP publicized its list four days after its deadline for declaring nominees, The Indian Express reported. According to the report, the party was finding it hard to allocate tickets with three to four nominees for every seat. Politicians from other parties had enlisted the BJP ahead of the elections.
CM Biren Singh will bid from the Heingang seat.
Videos and photos exhibited supporters exclaiming slogans, holding placards and burning effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Assembly elections in Manipur-
Manipur will witness a poll for 60 assembly seats in two stages on February 27 and March 3.
The counting of polls will be on March 10, along with four other pol-bound states.
