More than appreciating her attempt, people trolled her in the comments section as Mondal didn’t get the steps right.
One user wrote, ”Yeh dance kar rahi hai yah fir majak kar rahi hai pata hi nahi chalta.” Other wrote, “Yeh famous hone ke liye kuch bhi karega ranu mandal ”.
Ranu Maria Mondal hails from Bengal’s Nadia district and is famously known as the ‘Lata of Ranaghat’, with reference to iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar.
Although Ranu was born in Krishnanagar, Nadia but after her mother’s death, she spent most of her childhood at her aunt’s place in Ranaghat. She aspired to become a singer and is an ardent admirer of Lata Mangeshkar.
She was raised to fame in 2019 after a video of her song went crazy viral on social media, and subsequently, also ended up singing for Himesh Reshammiya’s film Happy Hardy and Heer.
Mondal made headlines but since 2020, she has been missing in action and this was due to her changing behavior which came to notice of all.
