They were just preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ with the sole intention to let the unbelievers know the goodness of God…… Forcing others to chant Jai Shri ram is indeed a force which directly tarnishes the secular fabric of the constitution of India.”
Additionally Dr. Lamtinthang Haokip, a political activist said, “I am disturbed and anguished by the inhumane act on Pu Chunglenlal Singsit of T. Gamnom Village Saikul, Kangpokpi district, Manipur who was reportedly attacked and forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ by right-wing Hindu activists at Khathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.”
“I fervently appeal MoH, GoI and also the Government of Manipur and J&K to kindly ensure the safety of Pu Chunglenlal and take swift legal action against these groups who destroy the secular fabric of this country,” he added.
