In the early morning of 10th October, the security forces killed four militants of Kuki National Liberation Army (KNLA) in an encounter at Kangpokpi district, Manipur.
As per information, the security forces were in a search operation against the militants and were managing a cordon near Hingojang village before the operation occurred.
During the operation, the security forces came across 12 man having arms which led to cross fire. As per the report of PRO (Defence Wing) Lt Colonel Mohit Vaishnava, four militants died while the others managed to escape.
He also mentioned that the search operation was set in the evening of 9th October when they came to know about a camp built by a militant group in that particular location.
The PRO confirmed that there were no casualty from the security forces. It is notable that the security had seized the automatic rifles belonged to AK series from the militants.
