Guwahati: On January 7, a massive fire broke out at a furnishings store named ‘Wooden Field’ opposite Geetanagar field.

From the photos taken by The North-Eastern Chronicle, a huge blaze of fire creating havoc and great disturbance in the area can clearly be spotted. The fire brigade reached the spot where the incident took place.
Cause behind the incident:
However, the main cause behind the incident is still uncovered. It’s suspected that property value lakhs is misplaced from the place of the incident.
Similar incidents:
Last year similar cases of fire break out were reported from Kamrup metro and South Salmara district of Assam that destroyed property worth lakhs.
The rate of fire incidents has witnessed drastic rise in the state.
