California: As many as 132 employees have tested positive in the SpaceX headquarters in California during the recent time, the largest non-residential confirmed case count in Los Angeles County.
When did it took place in California:
As stated by the SpaceX by sharing a memo, the outbreak took place in the month of September when “several employees who worked in the same area contracted Covid outside of work at a non-work-related event.” However, as said by a SpaceX spokesman on December 21 that only one of the 132 employees is suspected of spreading the virus at the place of work.
Report via Los Angeles County Department of Public Health:
According to a report issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health on December 20, the company currently accounts for nearly 30% of workplace COVID-19 cases in the county. The list includes 37 companies who have three or more confirmed cases each, with a total of 452 cases.
There are as many as 6,000 people under the company. The Omicron variant is the major subject which has fueled the outbreak in between the rising cases of the infections in California and across the country.
