A Journalist from Assam named Jayant Debnath was assaulted by two police personnels after he questioned them for not using helmets.
Journalist assaulted by cops in Assam:
The video of the incident that took place in Chirang district of Assam on February 7, went viral on the internet. The journalist, Jayant Debnath, could be seen being crushed by the 2 cops at the same time as a crowd gathered across the spot.
Hereafter, they can be seen calling more Cops and forcing Debnath to get into the jeep.
About the incidents:
On being asked about the incident the journalist said that he noticed the 2 policemen without helmets for which he asked them not to do the same and requested them what message this is able to give to the general public.
Further, Mr. Debnath stated that the cops bought extra livid when he informed them that he was a journalist.

The Police have taken apprehension and are investigating the matter based mostly on a FIR filed by Jayant Debnath.
